haha, last Tuesday when we got that snow "storm" I saw a cop really struggling to get up a hill. This "arrest me" red STi with a big wing that was heavily modded and obnoxiously loud just flies past him. I could almost taste the disappointment of the cop.

yeah! I've even narrowed down some really nice sounding exhausts.. I'm proably just gonna wait until I get wheels though. Just anything that'll differentiate myself from the other 3 million 328i's in VA haha. Hell, one of my neighbors bought one IN THE SAME COLOR as me.

I want a b5 a4 avant badly. No clue why I like them so much, but I rarely ever see them anymore and whenever I do I think of how great they are.

Haha, right after I bought my sedan a mint Avant came onto the market.

They're good cars, The 2.8 has nothing in terms of modifications though.

The community is also great for the most part!

I know of some b5's putting down serious power with turbo kits, but that's pretty extreme.

The 1.8t seems to have a HUGE aftermarket. The 2.8 is nice though, I've driven one on coilovers and boy was it fun on the backroads. The 2.8 does a nice enough job getting it up to lose your license speeds lol.

just how reliable is the 2.8? I wouldn't mind a B5 avant with the 2.8 and a manual if it can be had.. That'd be a great "beater".

Pretty damn reliable! Mine has closing in on 150k and still runs like a champ. As long as it's got control arms and the timing belt done you should be good! I originally bought mike to serve as a beater, But had to keep it as a DD and I'm my even mad, Haha.

Haha, I mainly lowered it because the rear was riding lower than the front and handling. It's nothin too extreme though :)

Hope that 395 won't be too horrible in the morning. I know it will be though, Haha.

Yeah nothing wrong with a little low.. Especially when it improves handling! As soon as my springs/shocks need to be replaced I'm either getting coilovers or a good spring/shock combo.

When isn't 395 terrible haha. This snow was kind of a dud. They cancelled school in fairfax county though, so the roads around me were emptier than usual.

Yup, Haha. It's always good, But excessive stance is pretty much anti handling.

I didn't actually take 395, I thought it was worse than it actually was. I'm surprised they cancelled school in Fairfax, because there really wasn't that much snow.
